Caution Wildlife Warning
Multiple coyotes have been spotted in the Timber Trace and the Spring Valley neighborhoods. A pack of 5 was spotted Tuesday evening. Please be mindful when walking or letting your pets out in the evening hours! We live in a rural environment and we should always be on guard for the unexpected.

Caution Thin Ice
St. Albans has seven lakes or ponds. Please be aware that at this time of year with varying temperatures, what appears to be ice in shaded areas should be avoided! Children and pets should be supervised and restrained at all times when access to one of our ponds is a possibility.

Response to Letter to Missouri Department of Transportation
January 13, 2012

Good Afternoon Alan

I hope you are doing well. As you may know, the snow storm on Thursday was a difficult snow fight because it changed from snow to ice and then the 30 mph winds and 6 degree temperatures caused the snow to blow back onto the pavement, causing more issues. As you mention the Interstates are our highest priority, but we did treat Route T around 11:00 am on Thursday morning including Ossenfort Hill. Around 5:00 p.m we treated it again from Labadie to Rte. 100. We checked the Route again on Friday morning and seen that the large Crane was stuck on the Ossenfort Hill. We did treat it again at that time.

Since we have closed numerous maintenance buildings across the state and we are committed to providing outstanding customer service, we did revaluate the snow removal of this portion of Rte. T to determine the best way to provide outstanding service. We decided the Eureka Maintenance Building will be removing the snow as it did before our reorganization. This should provide you the service you are accustom to during normal snow events. Thank you for your concern for the safety of our motorists.

Thank you and have a great day,
Judy
